Stem Cell Transplantation for Sickle Cell Anemia – Saudi Experience

Dr. Mohsen Al Zahrani presented the Ministry of National Guard Health Affairs experience in stem cell transplantation for Sickle Cell Anemia at the Annual European Society for Blood & Marrow Transplantation (EBMT) Meeting held virtually on 30 August – 02 September 2020.

A total of 100 patients were transplanted (ages 14-42) with a success rate in adults at 2 year follow-up of 85%.
