What is SSBMT

  • The Saudi Scientific Society of Blood and Marrow Transplantation (SSBMT) is a professional non-profit organization, founded according to King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences Council Meeting of 05 February 2008 and based on the Ministry of Higher Education agreement letter no. 293/A dated 02 March 2008 (23/2/1429). The Society aims to promote the advancement in management of the blood and marrow transplantation and related diseases.

  • The Society represents multiple medical and scientific disciplines such as hematology, oncology, immunology, genetics, microbiology, pediatrics and internal medicine.
    The Executive Board of the Society is formed according to the regulations of the MOHE. It consists of the President, the Vice-President, the treasurer and four to six members. All members are appointed by general election according to the regulation of MOHE.

  • To promote and enhance science, research and proper practice in the field of hematopoietic stem cell transplantation and related blood and cancer diseases.

  • To be a high-standard resource for health care workers, patients and the public in the field of Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation and related blood and cancer diseases.
